Participation of the delegation of Belarus in the session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nation Convention against Transnational Organized Crime

On October 17-21, 2022 the 11th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nation Convention against Tansnational Organized crime takes place.

The delegation of Belarus is headed by the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to International Organizations in Vienna. The delegation includes representatives of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Belarus.

On October 17, 2022 Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus I. Kubrakov made a video statement within the framework of the general debates at the Conference session.

In his speech, I. Kubrakov drew the attention of participants of the session to the problem of the intensification of international criminal activity against the background of serious geopolitical changes in the world, which creates an additional threat to peace, stability and security in entire regions.

I. Kubrakov expressed readiness of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus to share practical experience in the fight against international organized crime and interest in practical non-politicized cooperation with law enforcement agencies from other states in the fight against cybercrime, human trafficking and illegal migration, smuggling of weapons and drugs, terrorist and extremist activities.

I. Kubrakov noted that Belarus pays high attention to combating current challenges and actively puts forward initiatives to improve the effectiveness of joint measures of the international law enforcement community.
