On the meeting of the Deputy Minister I.Secretа with the Executive Secretary of the CTBTO

On June 26, 2025, Igor Secretа, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, met with Robert Floyd, Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO).

During the meeting, the interlocutors noted the fruitful nature of Belarus' long-term cooperation with the CTBTO and discussed specific areas for expanding further cooperation, including organising joint events.

Igor Sekreta stressed that Belarus is an active and consistent participant in global efforts in the field of nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation and confirmed Belarus' support for the universalization of the CTBT, ensuring a comprehensive ban on nuclear testing, strengthening the control regime and global nuclear non-proliferation, and nuclear security.

I. Sekreta and R. Floyd noted with satisfaction that Belarus is an active participant in the events held within the framework of the CTBTO and makes a significant contribution to the work of this international organization.

I. Sekreta thanked the CTBTO for the support provided to the Republican Emergency Management and Response Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus, including the donation of computing equipment.

I. Sekreta invited Executive Secretary R. Floyd to visit Belarus and participate in the third Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security.
