Ambassador of Belarus Alena Kupchyna visits Salzburg

On 1 October 2018 the Ambassador of Belarus in Austria Alena Kupchyna paid a visit to the Austrian Federal State of Salzburg.

The Ambassador met with the Head of the Government of the Federal State Mr. Wilfried Haslauer. A wide range of topics of mutual interest were discussed, in particular the development of trade and economic cooperation, as well as further intensification of educational and culture contacts and cooperation in other spheres.

During the meeting with Mr. Harald Preuner, the Mayor of Salzburg, the prospects of development of inter-municipal cooperation were considered.

The Ambassador of Belarus also took part in the 14th Conference of European Regions and Cities, held under the patronage of Austrian Federal President A. van der Bellen within the framework of the Austria's Presidency of the European Union. On the margins of the event, brief meetings of Alena Kupchyna with the European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Johannes Hahn and the President of the National Council of Austria Wolfgang Sobotka took place.
