On presentation of credentials to the Director General of UNIDO

September 22, 2020 official ceremony of presentation of credentials by the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the International Organisations in Vienna, Andrei Dapkiunas, to the Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Li Yong was held. During the conversation with the head of the UNIDO secretariat Andrei Dapkiunas emphasized the importance of UNIDO's work to promote inclusive and sustainable industrial development, digitalization of production and leveraging the potential of the fourth industrial revolution. Belarusian diplomat noted the successful implementation of the regional cooperation program with the participation of the Belarusian center for resource efficient and cleaner production. A.Dapkiunas welcomed the launch of new technical cooperation project on smart manufacturing in Belarus. The interlocutors also agreed to sign an updated cooperation framework between Belarus and UNIDO in the near future.
